It looks like the AR clubs are making progress into their journey to unite into a formal AR association, now called the IIAR. Training and industry representation are the stated objectives.

Yes, I am impressed by the progress made by the Board and the Hon. Secretary - let's hope that the momentum can be maintained.
But why the impersonal tone in your post? These days it's perfectly acceptable to use the third person singular when referring to oneself:

Since the institute is a collective noun, it should really be 'its' meeting.
Let's face it, grammar is just one more aspect of this blog which can't be trusted.
